I provide CPD workshops focused on working with disordered eating. These are run throughout the year either in person or on-line.
CPD 1 – WORKING THERAPEUTICALLY WITH OBESITY EXPLORING BINGE EATING DISORDER AND FOOD ADDICTION
Aims and Objectives:
- To gain an understanding of how therapy can help discover root causes resulting in obesity
- To understand and identify destructive eating behaviours
- To recognise addiction and its association to destructive eating behaviours
- To recognise the link between sexual trauma and eating disorders
- Understand relapse prevention strategies
- To gain an understanding of the core principles of the 12-step model

CPD 2 – UNDERSTANDING ANOREXIA AND BULIMIA. HOW CAN WE SUPPORT AND WORK WITH SUFFERERS?
Aims and Objectives:
- To gain an understanding of the essential characteristics of Anorexia and Bulimia and its correlation to addiction
- To recognise and understand how attachment theory relates to eating disorders
- To provide therapeutic support to those suffering from anorexia and bulimia.
- To understand the link between sexual trauma and eating disorders
- To gain knowledge of the 12-step model for use in supporting sufferers and integrate key concepts into your practice
